Goodbye Keita!

We said goodbye to another exchange student today.
We had fun at the party at the park and Kayla was allowed (by Dad) to have her very own sprite the size of her head. As evidenced by Jude holding his can up to measure her head :)
Double guzzle. . .
The family picture. Poor Keita gave a lot of piggy-back rides during his 2 weeks here.
These desert rats don't mind a little dirt.
Kayla stomped right over Jude's mountain then when he yelled at her she just started growling at everyone. It was a tiny bit terrifying.
Talia Megan in all her crazy wonder. This kid is NEVER boring.
And she insisted on wearing her pajamas because it was the closest thing to a dress that she could find.

Shooting Range

Keita really wanted to shoot a gun while he was here. He does archery back home so he is interested in target shooting I guess. (He was also VERY interested in the guns and knew more than I did for sure). He shot a rifle and a pistol. That's all I remember. And he was a good shot too.

Dr Seuss Week

I always like Dr Seuss week at school. I think I like it because all the "crazy" days like pajama day and hat day and crazy sock day are all compressed into one week of chaos and then it's done.

We visited the school today to take Jude his forgotten glasses (again) and got to take our pictures with the Truffula Trees. And the cute little "Wocket" Julia made was just adorable.

Sleeping

Sometimes it shocks me to look at my baby and see how big she is.
She still loves her baby blanket and still doesn't know her limits when it comes to bedtime/napping, but I'm okay with her staying a baby a little bit longer.

Fashionista

I just had to document Lydia's outfit today.
Leggings (her favorites), shorts, shirt (and cami), vest, jacket, gladiator sandals that I wish came in my size too. . .
And the hair parted down the middle. She decided one day that's how she wanted it and hasn't let me brush her hair ever since.

So serious

I made these two get their brains mapped at the Neuro Feedback Center today.
Turns out they both have ADHD (duh), horrible memories (duh), and trouble following step-by-step instructions (duh). Now what to do about it to help them. . .
Also, look at Jude's hands. He's been screwing his fingers up like that ALL the time lately. Too much nervous energy inside of him, it stresses me out just watching him be so stressed all the time!

Pink Cowboy Boots

I wish she was smiling and posing in her cute dress and even cuter new boots. But we're at church, which means we have to cry every single week when we're dropped off at Sunbeams instead of nursery. After church she'll talk for hours about how much fun she had and how nice her teachers are and how many cute crafts they make every week. . .

Super Saturday

Our ward had a preparedness themed super Saturday today. There was SO much information and samples and stuff to try and do. Lydia LOVED everything of course. She couldn't even contain herself when Sister Gubler asked if anyone wanted to try kneading/rolling out some bread dough. This girl loves to bake!
This was about when Kayla peed on me and she and Talia and I went out to the van to wait for the other kids to be done.

Legacy Elementary Open House

This right here is my life right now.
The only picture I took of Lydia at her new school, and of course she's acting crazy. Julia won't look at the camera for more than half a second, she's always so distracted! Jude LOVES that jacket he's wearing, even though it was so hot. Kayla is trying to escape of course. Talia will only wear pajamas for some reason, but thinks her pink boots are the BEST. John is the only one that did what he was told when I said let me take a picture :)

Pack Meeting

My boy earned his Germs belt loop today!
He'll get his Digging up the Past loop next time, he just has one more thing to do.
